Christmas Eve

It was a year ago tomorrow when Gary and I announced to our families that we were expecting a baby; we shared the news with most of our friends a week later. In some ways it was hard keeping the news back; we were really excited to finally be pregnant, and we knew everyone would be really happy for us. But, it was also nice having the news be private, something only Gary and I shared.

Back to the present... Elliot will be 21 weeks next Tuesday and is doing well. He weighed in at 14 pounds, 7 ounces yesterday morning. New tricks include laughing and rolling over. He can roll from his back to his front pretty easily now, but not the other way around. Unfortunately, this means his new bedtime ritual is spending about an hour flipping himself over, wriggling into the corner of the crib, and crying until one of us flips him back. He had been going to sleep really well until this week, but we're back to using the swing to put him to sleep. He's still not sleeping through the night, but he now usually wakes up every 3-4 hours.

My company moved to San Francisco a few weeks ago, so my commute is a bit longer. Gary has been working very long hours on Tomb Raider, so we don't see much of each other during the week.

And yes, we've been taking pictures. But no, they're not online yet. We're busy playing with the Real Thing.
